Measuring for a rollerblind with cord pull

Step 1 – First, using a metal tape measure, measure across the top of the window, the middle, and the bottom.

Step 2 – If you are fitting into a recess, make a note of the smallest measurement, then deduct 1 centimeter. This will be the finished size for the width.

Step 3 – Then, do the same for the drop — measuring from the top of the recess down to the bottom of the window sill. Write down the smallest measurement. If you are fitting into a recess then subtract 2 centimeters. This will be the finished size for the height of the blind. Only use this measurement if you do not want a small roll at the bottom of the blind.

We recommend keeping a small roll of fabric at the bottom of the blind of at least 15 cm, this gives the blind some weight and stability. It will be easier to roll up and down.
For example if your window recess measurements are 85cm width and 120cm drop.
85cm – 1cm = Finished blind width is 84cm
120cm – 2cm + 15cm = Finished blind height 133cm

Due to the construction of the slats of the blinds, we can unfortunately not always guarantee hitting your measurements 100%. There is an error margin of up to 0.5 cm. If the blinds exceed the trimming measurement, we will cut the blinds according to these.

Measuring for a rollerblind with chain pull – inside mount

Step 1 – First, using a metal tape measure, measure across the top of the window, the middle, and the bottom.

Step 2 – The narrowest measurement of the three is the measure we call the recess width.

Step 3 – Then, do the same for the drop — measuring from the top of the recess down to the bottom of the window sill. This will be the finished size for the height of the blind.

These will be the dimensions when placing the order on our website.

Check that your recess is deep enough to fit the blind into, also bearing in mind any obstructions such as window or handles.

Please note that the fabric width will always be narrower than the recess width, leaving a gap of approximately 2 – 2,5 cm on each side of the blind.

Measuring for a rollerblind with chain pull – outside mount

Step 1 – First, using a metal tape measure, measure across the top of the window, the middle, and the bottom. For outside mount please add 10 cm to the biggest width dimension to minimize light leakage.

Step 2 – Then, do the same for the drop — measuring from the top of the recess down to the bottom of the window sill. The overlap at the bottom of the blind is a matter of personal choice but please take into account obstacles such as radiators.

This will be the finished size for the height of the blind.

Use the width measure and the finished height of the blind measure when placing your order on our website.

If you have a window frame around the window, please take this into account and adjust the width accordingly.
